Get the Facts on Learning to Fly...
  • On average most student pilots earn a private license in six months, flying just a few times per week.

  • Last year more than 75,000 embarked on the experience of a lifetime by scheduling their first lesson.

  • The cost of learning to fly is dependent on several factors such as rental cost of the airplane and instructor fees. At Wright Brothers, the cost is between $6,900 and $7,500.

  • Nearly everyone has the physical and scholastic aptitude to learn to fly. In fact, nine out of ten people who want to learn, actually have the ability and skills required.

  • All students must pass a simple medical exam prior to obtaining their license. The medical exam must be renewed every two years.

  • Some of the issues the student pilots learn in ground school are the principles of lift, gravity, drag, control, airspeed, and basic instrumentation.
